Oil and Water Don’t Mix (version 2)

Completed in 2010. 41″ by 41″.
This quilt is in response to the Gulf Oil spill disaster and its impact on all the animals living in the Gulf of Mexico.
The quilt is machine pieced and quilted. All the fabric is hand dyed by the artist. The “oil” fabric is rust-dyed silk/cotton which gives a sheen to the fabric.
